According to HMRC over 2 million people did not file their tax returns by 31 January. Although HMRC announced an extension to 28 February for the actual submission they did not extend the payment due date which has now passed. So if you have yet to do your return dont leave it any longer. If you don’t file it by 28 February you will receive a £100 fine and you will also be incurring interest now.
